Staci Severns

Staci Severns has been a partner at Adkins Black since January 2010. Staci’s practice focuses primarily on providing legal support for domestic and international clinical trials, including clinical trial agreements, contract research organization agreements, confidentiality agreements, informed consents, and related vendor agreements. She also drafts and negotiates research agreements and material transfer agreements, and has extensive experience with consulting agreements and fee-for-service agreements.

Prior to joining Adkins Black, Staci was Senior Corporate Counsel at ZymoGenetics, Inc., where she worked on a variety of contracts, focusing on clinical trial agreements, clinical study vendor agreements and supporting the company’s clinical operations department. Staci also worked at ICOS Corporation, providing legal assistance to the company’s Clinical Affairs Department. Prior to that, she worked for the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, drafting and negotiating King County service and consulting contracts as well as Washington State and federal grant contracts.

Staci earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington, where she graduated magna cum laude and was the recipient of an Undergraduate Merit Scholarship. She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.

Staci is a regular supporter of Operation Nightwatch, a non-profit organization that feeds and attends to the shelter needs of the homeless of Seattle. Her favorite place to relax is on a deck chair aboard a cruise ship going somewhere exotic and far away. She and her husband are the proud parents of three grown children and they share their home with four very comfortable cats.
